If you had nice ribbon you could sew around the bottom,or roll them up and wear them as capris

If it's only about an inch, I'm betting nobody will notice. If they do, so what. I'm a woman and six feet tall, barefoot. I've had to wear pants that were more than an inch too short, because it beats going barefoot. To find a knee-length skirt, that is technically for "average" women, is still fairly rare. Recently, I found a kahaki skirt that is not only loose (growing room for my pregnancy), but knee length. Extra bonus it was free.

So it's just an inch. If it really bothers you, try adding extra material as suggested, or just cut them to capris or shorts, though that would technically be a waste of good jeans, if they aren not holey or stained. Its the only reason I would cut jeans.

be careful not to look like you're trying to fit into jeans that are too short. Either fold up and wear as capri's or try this: get some vintage looking fabric (something sheer or lacy perhaps) , unpick the outer seam of your jeans - up to just below the knee, sew in the pretty fabric panel to create a bit of a flair. fray the bottom and side edges to make it look as though it's all been done on purpose. Thread a plain coloured ribbon as a belt to compliment the theme.

Take out them hem. Usually there is a good bit of material folded up at the bottom of jeans. There might be enough there to give you that extra inch, you will probably have to iron it out though.
Roll them up or cut and make them capris if you can't get them long enough.

There's nothing worse than too short jeans. If I were you, I'd either tuck them into my boots or wear flat shoes with them. Flat shoes are really trendy at the mo anyway and would be perfect for a football match.

other than totally letting the hem out and letting them fringe - and that may not be enough anyway, you might could take a patterned (or solid) fabric and make a "trim" measuring an inch or so wide and sew it along the bottom of the hem. I think it could look real cute and you might just start a fashion trend.

You can let the hem out, but sometimes what I do is wash them, then let them hang dry by putting them like on a clothesline in my room or something then I tie something heavy to each of the pant legs and let them dry from there. It has helped most of the time, just it takes awhile and I get fustrated with it, do not put them in the dryer to get rid of the wrinkles from tying the legs to something. Iron them out. Good luck!

you can start a new fashion by wearing them short. i have seen few women here in UK, including my daughter wearing one which do not reach below ankles/feats. or you can undo the hem and sew some other material to turn in which would not show, use some lace, different or similar materials. or boots as other have suggested. .

Add a row of lace and jazz them up, add it to the back pockets to match. Or go the other way & cut them off so be capri's.
