I'm a Democrat all the way, but I guess I better to learn to skip over the Republican questions and answers. It is not helping matters when I get a message from an asker attacking me because I don't share his views.
Are any of you dems out there having problems or getting nasty messages from those who love the gop and hate the dems?
Isn't it my right to think what I want and isn't this a country of free speech?
I've been accused of twisting the Bible and hating rebubs just because i don't share the republican view.

On abortion. I'm against abortion, but not against anyone's right to choose.
Since God doesn't violate free wills, how can I?

According to them you have a sickness called freedom of thought.....a very anti-american stance.

Sorry, but I don't think either side has a monopoly on hate speech and intolerance. The issues being debated seem to have a polarizing effect on both sides and some people feel so ardently about their position that they just can't understand how anyone in their right mind could take a contrary point of view. This is not unique to Conservatives or Liberals. Read resposes to both sides and you will see what I mean. It's a shame we can't just discuss the issues with logical thoughtful responses rather that calling the other person an idiot for not agreeing with you. Keep trying. By the way, I am conservative in my views, and feel no compulsion to call you stupid for asking a question or giving a response, even if I disagree with your perspective.

Whether you are a republican or democrat, you should not be hassled for opinions. I will say that am getting less tolerant of trolls of late so inaccurate and misleading questions are getting short and concise answers rather than putting a lot of thought into it.

Remember most people here on YA are young and have very little experience with real life. They don’t realize that hate and bile is negative. That being said, how you phrase your questions probably influences how the young people answer it.

I'm sorry, but it's not just the republicans doing that. I've seen Democrats do the same thing. Everyone thinks they are in the right, when they are all wrong. Just once, I'd like to see a candidate stand up and say, "I'm not sure what will happen, but I will try my best to make things right for everyone" No promises, no lies, no name calling, just honest campaigning. I know, a pipe dream, but without our dreams ~ where are we?

Hang on, sister. I'm a Christian, read my Bible, go to church and I am not a Republican. I'm registered as an Independent, but sadly I'm disgusted with both sides.

Most Christians are opposed to abortion (myself included) and are so focused on that issue that they'd vote for Satan himself if he had an anti-abortion platform. I don't understand how you can oppose taking the life of an unborn child, but rally round the flag on killing otherwise.

I have received a few emails in response to my answers. The emails were from liberals that attacked my view on capitalism and taxes.

P.S. They were not able to support their view with fact, just emotion. It is not just conservatives that get too emotional.

No, I get the same thing. You can post facts and sites for them to go and they will deny it and start attacking your patriotism. Don't fret...This is why the Republican party is such a joke today. They screw them selves each time they open their mouths.
