a superhero like Batman or Spiderman? Not just the super-powers, but the whole 'secret identity' thing? I would imagine that would get quite taxing after awhile.

i couldn't do it...all the frustration, stress, criticism...i'm just not up for it. and the community wants you to do EVERYTHING! and a super hero's social life is nothing spectacular. i think i would just crack in the fact that I can't become too close to a loved one. and then you gotta worry about your "failures". like when things dont go as planned...& a few lives happen to be diminished just because you screwed up. then u start questioning your abilities...wondering if u don't have what it takes anymore. and what happens when u start to age (assuming you have no age-sustaining powers) ? u certainly won't be leaping from roof to roof any longer. so then u suffer a lonely death...leaving the world with nothing to remember u by...because u never revealed your true self. all your contributions to this world...done but forgotten. sure the idea of saving the world & being known across the planet seems cool @ first, but as far as i see it...the negatives are just too overwhelming 4 many.
