All of these people were good people.
The good and evil that you see don't even exist in reality, at least not outside of the mind that believes in them. They are only judgments passed by the individual from their own unique perspective. What one person sees as bad or evil may seem to be the only logical thing to do from some other perspective. The ideas of both good and evil are point of view specific. This is why people like bush and bin laden are either loved or hated. Bush is seen as good by people who share his fear based thought system. Those who have a compassionate concern for all of mankind often see him as evil.
Bin laden is much the same. He is a villain in much of the western world, but he is somewhat of a celebrated pop star on the Middle East. There are T-shirt shops that sell items with his picture as though he was Jesus. It all depends on your point of view or perspective.
To sum it all up good is the name we give to people who do things that we think we like.
Evil is the name we give to people who do the things that we don’t like.
This is of course based solely on our particular point of view.
Love and blessings

They aren't all bad the reason people think they are ruthless criminals is because of years of propaganda and outright deceit. Look at Hitler he transformed Germany into a very strong country economically he fixed most of the problems Germany had socially and financially. Before that the winners of WWI placed so many reparations on Germany that they wrecked Germany's social and economic fabric and in a matter of years Hitler brought Germany back to power in Europe. Also Hitler had a forceful personality and had charisma that translated to him being an amazing orator and speaker and because of his ability to move a country with this words he instilled such pride and will to win in German military that it took the whole of Europe and America to defeat Germany.
Saddam Hussein also accomplished something that no occupying force including America will be able to do again. He united a country full of different religious and ethnic groups and kept relative peace between them. There were no daily car bombs and hundreds of people dying each day from mortars, bombs or American military strikes. The country under Hussein was held together and people did not have to fear for their lives every time they stepped outside.
Osama Bin Laden, America forgets that we funded and trained Bin Laden and Al Qaida to fight and weaken Russia. When Russia invaded Afghanistan they took heavy losses because of how good fighters Al Qaida were. Russia lost alot of expensive military equipment in Afghanistan like helicopters and tanks stuff they could not replace easily because Russia was never nearly as rich as America was. Same thing with Saddam the US propped him up to help us weaken Iran in the 70s and 80s.

O.K. don't listen to these people, the U.S. has a way of teaching history in a biased way. If you can tell from our history books, we don't put down any of the decisions we've made except for maybe Hiroshima, but the Japanese did bomb us first. Anyway Hitler was actually somewhat of a "good person", he was genius. He is known as one of the greatest tacticians of all time next to Alaxander the Great. He would have conquered the world if it weren't for Europe. If he were to of conquered Europe he would have had the best defensive standing in the war. If the U.S. weren't smart enough to create such a massive alliance, right now the world would be under control of Hitler's descendants. Sure he thought of governmental strategies as a religion and people had to follow him or be doomed, I have to agree that this was wrong, but he had a dream for his people. It outstretched a bit by wanting to eliminate all homosexuals, Jews, Gypsies, and communists, but that's because this was the perfect world he wanted. That was his own downfall because concentrating on strategies beyond the war eliminated his funding for troops, supplies, and warfare in general. Now Germany is in such a poor state because they had to pay for the loss of the war. He is still hailed as a mastermind today, but I don't consider him a completely good person, if I saw him today, I wouldn't be his friend, I would stay as far away as possible from him. For Saddam Hussein, he was 100% evil. He disrespected his people and killed them at every little chance he could get. Fear was his source of power, and it worked until we intercepted him. In reality we started the war with him because Bush wanted to finish the job his father started years back. Trust me it wasn't because of weapons of mass destruction. With Osama Bin Laden he's just the same as Hussein, he uses fear as his sorce of power. He's worse then Hussein in a lot of ways, because I see him as a coward. He does terroristic acts and hides in fear. I have to admit though his people must be extremely afraid of him to not turn him in for the 10 billion dollar reward on his head, that or extremely afraid. Who knows he's probably dead already.

I suppose the fact that they were so ambitious and driven that they didn't let anything get in their way. I guess if that's a person's definition of 'good' or admirable then I suppose it could be looked at in a positive light. They had an idea or belief and they took it all the way. Of course, throughout history there have always been people that think they know what is best for the rest of us. Like the saying goes, the road to hell is paved with good intentions (then again, many times its just pure selfish motive). Ultimately, their thinking was/is dysfunctional and wrong. No one should want anything so badly that they're willing to kill other people for it. That is the greatest evil we face in our time, I believe.

The people with negative feelings make others negative personalities. Really there are no such things like negative or positive, only people with vested interests make such histories to cheat the populations. Every person who created history defnitely, has a cause for his deeds. I did not see any bad with those people mentioned in the question, and all of them, are pictured as bad by the same party.

I think Hitler was good at planning.
Saddam Hussein good at crushing rebellions against his rule.
Bin Laden good at carrying out his plans and justifying them.
They have passed the levels of being humans, their motives their passions have surpassed their humanitarian concerns and moreover they had and have people around them who make them think that their actions are all human and above all good for humans. So they do not have anything left in them that on humanitarian basis will be good. All their intelligence is for wrong purpose.
They might even have something good in them but it will not be good due their wrong ways of carrying it out.

Oh, yes they CAN be 100% bad. Hitler loved his dog, but that doesn't make him 1% good. Being human has nothing to do with it. There is no rule that says humans can't be 100% bad. Be responsible for the extermination of millions based on race or religion, and you are 100% bad. End of story. Nothing "good" you can do will possibly make up for it.

They were very intelligent people........but they used their intelligence negatively....
They also managed to motivate a lot of people to follow them.......
All 3 were also very powerful men.......
Maybe if they didnt go the wrong way they might have been good world leaders!
