a-ha, Duran Duran, marillion, guns n roses, rolling stones, pink floyd, the mission, sisters of mercy, the cure, the smiths....... there are probably loads more that i like from those 2 decades, but those are the ones that spring to mind... what's nice is that quite a few of those bands are still making music...

everyone likes the beatles their music is timeless as is led zeppelin, pink floyd and david bowie. all the best bands and artists were from the 70's. t rex, the clash, sex pistols, lynyrd skynrd, the doors, rolling stones, velvet underground, motorhead, i could go on but i think thats enough. most bands nowadays are are poor imitations or just plain awful. my chemical romance? hmmmmm
