Of course. They will be the next USC. It seems everyone forgets that before Pete Carrol USC wasn't even in the top 25 about 5 years ago. No one can compare to the history of Alabama and they are in the heart of recruiting land. Everyone knows that Saban is a great recruiter and since he has been in the NFL kids are gonna want to go there to get trained by the best. Especially good fast kids from the south.
You all remember he won a national championship with LSU, right? His first job was not with the Dolphins and he has outrecruited all of these programs in the past. Now he is at the most storied program in the SEC. Recruiting will be the easy part. In 3-4 years he will win another Natl Champ. or at least be a serious contender. Alabama is just 1 year removed from a great season as well.

Next year- They will be lucky to win 7-8 games
With Spurrier at USC and Meyer at UF, I don't think Saban will ever have a monopoly on the recruits in the South. He is also competing with Auburn in state and then Georgia, Tennessee, and Arkansas. There is too much competition, and he has upset alot of people with his tactics. They are also 2 or 3 very good recruiting classes from having a chance at a run. That could be very difficult if Alabama doesn't start to win and with Saban's current reputation.

Nick Saban is a joke. The days of dynasties are over in college football. Alabama has had some decent teams since Paul Bryant but few, if any great teams. Saban will get them to win eight or nine games consistently each year, but not any more than that. Saban is about Saban. People seem to forget that Alabama interviewed a ton of coaches before they got Saban. It is not the job it used to be.

Saban wont have enough time to recruit and build a team before Bama kicks him out or he gets a better offer..he is all about himself. When he was at LSU, he won the title with mostly Dinardo's recruits anyway. His credibility has gone way down and if I were a highschool kid being recruited, I wouldnt trust him to be there if I took a scholarship.
Even if he miraculously puts together a good team this year, he will be 3rd best in the SEC west if he gets lucky. LSU will very likely go undefeated this year and win the championship. Auburn will be just behind them in the west. The funny thing is, most of the players at LSU now are Saban's recruits. The Tigers are going to punish and humiliate Saban at his house, with his recruits, and rub in in with a national titlle not long after that game. GEAUX TIGERS!!!!!!!

No, I think Saban has too much of a checkered past now. The other coaches in the SEC will be able to out-recruit him for the top talent by pointing to Saban's past dishonesty.

Let's be brutally honest here...Nick Saban is an ok coach...He survived for a little while in the NFL and then came over to Alabama....Alabama hasn't exactly been dominating and they have some key spots to fill...So weak team+ok coach=below .500 record...

Hell no. Slick Nick isn't gonna be around long enough for that. In three, four years tops, he's going to be back in the NFL, with some bull$h!t speech about how he missed the pro game, and how he missed shaping the lives of grown men.

As much as i <3 UofAlabama and as much as my Eric would want me to say yes b/c he goes there i would still hafta say no. I mean in Alabama it is all about football. Basically in the south they are big on ftball. U 1st of all have your inner state rival of Auburn. That is hard enough. Almost had them this yr tho. Next u have Arkansas. Not to mention Florida. So no

No....and here is why.
Alabama is in the S.E.C. They have to contend with my TN Volunteers who spank the Tide and give them bruised maroon butts to match their uniforms. UT's recruiting class was rated 3rd best in the nation overall this year. We don't have huge cities in our state like Florida, Texas, and Cali do but somehow Coach Fulmer has consistently built a strong program that attracts the best in the nation. Go Vols! (This also can be said of the great Coach Pat Summit of the UT Lady Vol basketball teams)
