Why all these post bashing Sabre fans? You keep stating how fed up with all their banter you are, but by throwing it in their face it puts you on the same level as (a few) who have litered this board. Most of them have been fairly tame, just like every fan base a few stick out.

I want to state that I am rounting for Ottawa in this series, but I am far from a huge die-hard Sens fan. Remember, the series is not over yet. Also don't you think Sabre fans deserve to be excited after the season they have had?

If you must talk smack, at least wait until it is officially over because stranger things have happend.

I'm with icequeen.

There were fans saying that the Sabres were going undefeated for the season and that the Presidents Trophy is essentially a guarantee to be Stanley Cup champs. I know that it isn't serious, and as a Flyers fan, I don't really care which other team wins it all, but I don't like bandwagon fans.

In fact, I spend more time criticizing the Flyers than I do other teams, but as things are, what with the Sabres being in a 3-0 hole, it is just desserts.

Just wait, if the Phillies or Sixers win titles, I'll still be backing the Athletics and Spurs. I am permanently turned off by those two losing institutions.

sure, as somebody who became into helping Hamilton, i think fairly undesirable for Massa and that i understand how heartbroken i'd be if i became right into a Massa or Ferrari fan. in spite of each and every thing, it became into practically us Hamilton followers that have been heartbroken. yet i think of Hamilton is the honest winner, he deserved to win it final 12 months and to have it snatched some laps from the tip this 12 months would have been so merciless. If Massa had won, it would have meant that the identify would have been efficiently desperate by applying Hamilton being denied his win interior the Belgian GP which could have been unfair, because it wasn't an obtrusive penalty to grant. i think of Hamilton deserved it, yet i'm hoping Massa manages to bounce back and the terrific of success to him prevailing the identify interior the destiny.

In NHL history, the team that goes up 3-0 in a series wins the series 98.6% of the time.

In the history of all sports that have a best-of-seven format, it's 98.8%.

So it's not quite over yet, but I have officially written off the Sabres.

Basically the bashing is happening because most of the Sabres fans were on here (and elsewhere) proclaiming how they were going to sweep and win it all, how great the city is, how bad the officiating was, how unfair everything was and they still won, how the team could turn it on in a second, yada yada yada

Now that the team is losing, they've disappeared, but no one has forgotten their behavior. Therefore, the bashing.

It is part of the culture within any society. Kick 'em while they are down.

People tend to elevate themselves and take pleasure at the expense of another person's misfortune and demise. The same theory applies to the fans of any organized sport.

90% of them aren't Sens fans, but anti-Sabres fans. While you have class. 85% of the Sabres fans on this forum do not. Karma is a funny thing...

If you're gonna dish it out you gotta be able to take it. Sabres fans were getting obnoxious so I don't necessarily blame those who have a need to get the last laugh but you are right it doesn't show much class.

Know what? Thank you. THAT was class. We aren't all bandwagoneers, and no matter what we say nobody will ever believe it. For those of us who go down with the ship, its a sad time for us. But seriously, this post gets a big thumbs up.
