If you can not get into Windows, then there is no easy way to transfer the data. You will probably have to take the hard drive out of the current computer, and place in as a second hard drive in another computer. Hopefully then (since you do not have to get Windows to start from that drive) you will be able to access it and copy over any data you want from it.

Good luck....

There is a very easy way to access any Windows PC that is not booting up from the main hard drive.

Simply boot up the pc with a Live Linux CD in the drive - probably Knoppix is a good bet to start with - and once you are in the Desktop you can plug in an external hard drive and copy all the data off the Windows drives to the external hard drives.

Usernames and Passwords are completely ignored - if you do this you will realise how weak the so called security on Windows pcs really is.

This is actually a common technique used by a lot of repaire centres to recover data and remove viruses from Windows drives - simply use Linux.

Maybe you link them to a secondary PC to do the job!
