French....... europe does not have all of the same racial issues as america. Odds are a european black speaks well and has manners. There is not this whole self segregation thing.... they are french and thats what they are...... not french africans. They identify with their country.

Black people from other countries marvel at the whole african american thing. Back home there is no month, day, or holiday for thier race. Therefore there is so much less racism. The surest way to get racism is to high light your race...... african americans could learn something here. Or they should say spend a week in London. What would a person do when there is no racism but maybe feel discrimination because they are americans?

A good question. Similarly, a Caucasian born in Africa and subsequently moves to America and becoming a naturalized citizen rubs the politically correct society the wrong way. Many of the politically-correct blacks will refuse to call such a person an African American.

I strongly believe the label of African American is one designed specifically for a pedestal solely for the blacks and none other.

French; a black person from America is American. Someone who is born in Africa and immigrated to America and becomes a US citizen becomes an African American. Why does this confuse everyone?

I hate the term ________ American. Either you're American, or something else. I live in the US for a long time but I still consider myself a foreigner. I like it that way because I wasn't born here.
