It was in the statte of virginia and i was pretty much framed and lied on with no witnesses. it was my first offense. I was told that in the state of virginia that an offense that is guilty can not be expunged. However at the time I was substituting and still would like to teach school. Can anyone help me.?

The best thing to do would be to contact the Dept. of Education in your state and ask to speak to the Director of Teacher Certification. Come clean to him/her and ask your question. That way, you'll get an answer, and if the answer is "no you can't" then you won't waste time and money on teacher preparation classes.

I would try to call the school district and ask them. I think these days there is an effort to try and protect children so your background could be a factor in hiring. I would try to hire a lawyer and see if you can get this challenged.
