I live at the seaside! And I have to admit that they are much nicer than when I go to the city...no idea why! But you have officially made me hungry now!

I've never had them at the sea side. I don't really eat battered fish or chips (I think the last time I had chips was about 5 years ago!).
I suppose the fish would be fresher at the beach? But food and stuff always tastes better when you're on your hols.

I desire haddock to cod as i think of it has greater style. yet between the best fish and chip food I had substitute into close to Bideford in Devon some years in the past as quickly as I had dabs and chips. I used to love Rock salmon and chips, yet that's not frequently offered at the instant as that is genuinely spiny dogfish ( species of small shark) advert is on the endangered checklist.

I think it's because the fish is usually fresher at the seaside.

Why do they never taste like they did when I was 16, no one can make decent fish and chips anymore.

Maybe to do with the salt in the air as salt wakens the taste buds.
