Base it on your skin colour, shade of hair, season, and personality. Many red heads can easily wear all colours including red/pink tones, however you should always try the clothes on first. Often it is the actual cut of the outfit that can make it look bad. Green will make red hair appear more striking as red and green are opposites on the colour wheel.

Royal blue always looks great! Then there is black. Anything to make that red hair stand out. I love red hair. Grrrrrrr!

Most redheads look absolutely gorgeous in green. My son does. Purple would probably look terrific on you too.

you should base your clothing on your skin tone... so that the colors can bring out your features and not wash you out or make you look pale or yellow....
