I think it leads to many problems. Teens aren't ready to be parents.

Well, teen sex has been going on since there were teen. Pregnancy is very real and very life changing and so is disease. Prevention of both of these truly is IMPORTANT for obvious reasons. I think intercourse should be done only between two people who truly care about each other and are staying safe doing so. Oral sex can transmit disease as well.

teen pregnancy sucks. and I say that because I was a teen mother, and it sucks. Where ever you go people look at you funny. you can't go out and have fun because you are getting to big to have any fun. Then after you have the baby you have to get a job, because your boyfreind left you because he is a stuipid idiot, and your parents are mean and says they won't babysit for you. The food stamp office wants to be all in your business and they want to know who lives with you and how much money everybody in your house makes, and you are like why, they won't give me none anyways. I was 17 when I had my first baby, and 28 when I had my second. Both fathers left me when I was barely prego. But the second time I had already continued my education, had a good job, a car, a house of my own, and the good since to work as long as I could, and when my baby was old enough, I put her in daycare, met a good man that loves me and my kids, now we are very happy. Its hard on a teen mom though, that is coming from someone who knows. I wouldn't trade neither one of my kids though.

Teens will have sex. To think otherwise is foolish! Now, whether the Parents "control" them enough so that they dont have sex too early, is the lesson here.

As for pregnancy, well, thats both of thier responsibility, and the Parents to help them along the way. Teach them about Condoms, and the Pill.

But, if the Parents are of low education and got pregnant when they were teens, and dropped out of school, then they will not have the intelligence to teach thier children, because they are ignorant themselves!

I wish you well...

terrible situation. here where i live a teen can go the school counselor and get assistance with birth control, and the parent doesnt even have to know.
at first i was really upset about the privacy of it all, but if teens are going to have sex, they must be protected from not only pregnancy, but sexual transmitted disease too

You can't stop teens having intercourse, but you can stop them getting pregnant.

Kids should be taught to respect themselves enough to use contraceptives when they start having any kind of sexual relationship and that sex with a loving partner is more satisfying than one night stands.

I don't feel that premarital sex is morally right, so I guess you could say I'm against it but I don't like to rub my opinions & beliefs in others' faces. That's just the choice i made for my life, and everyone else had to do the same for them.

For me the age isn't as much the issue as the intentions of the couple.
