I have toshiba hard disk in my laptop.i am not able to access hard disk and so unable to boot. are the drivers compulsory for a hard disk if it is please provide exact links. i want to recover the data using bartpe live window CD. this is the link for it.

i had searched in tohisba site but could not find any. i dont know the exact details of my hard disk.

You have a hardware fault, theres no drivers needed to access the drive, the BIOS would take care of it.

If you need recover the data
U can use this method.

1- Get a external casing for Nb hardisk (USB)
2- Plug on to another pc as external Usb drive (hdd)
3- Open n recover the data that u need.
4- Reinstall your laptop again/

Your disk drive has failed probably. If you are unlucky it's your computer's disk interface (because that's probably a dead computer).

No separate drivers are needed for disk drives... most drivers are stored on disk and if you needed a driver to read the drive you are trapped. The bios knows how to talk to disk drives... so it's a built-in driver in the hardware.
