I would have to agree with you on that one... when my son was born......his cry....and when I called to him, he settled down ,then our eyes met for the first time. THAT WAS PRICELESS. SINCE THEN ITS BEEN THE SOUND OF HIS LAUGHTER AND ME BEING CALLED MOM!

Don't wish to be crude as there is a lot of first child born choices here (soft and fuzzy moments)
hearing a woman reach orgasm when making love to her
or the sound of waves crashing, Italian sportscar engine,
had to laugh at "prettywomans" answer.

mine is similar to yours. the best sound that i've ever heard was my son's first cry after being delivered. i'd had a difficult labour, and it was touch-and-go towards the end.... it was also made more special as i'd had a miscarriage the year before. hearing my son cry for the first time was a huge relief and helped me to get over the trauma of his birth, and the loss of my first baby.

my dad's voice after I though we would lose him in the hospital in January. The cardiologists punctured a hole through his heart by mistake, and we weren't sure he would survive. My mind raced with thoughts of getting married without him there, my college graduation without him there, my first home without him seeing it, my first child without him there to hold her/him.
then when I saw him open his eyes and speak, i couldn't imagine a moment or sound so great as that one. I had my dad back and nothing could be greater than standing in that hospital room with my parents, knowing my dad would be alright. It was such a blessing.
:o) I can't wait to have a baby & her her/his 1st breath/sounds; I imagine its an amazing moment! :o)

The small quiet voice of my ten 365 days previous grandson on the different area of my front door. He shocked me each and each of ways from Ohio and that i stay in NC. I shouted for excitement and shed tears because of the fact i could not incorporate my happiness!
