Definitely go see your physio. Physiotherapist deal with muscularskeletal injuries all the time. He or she should be able to adequately treat your problem after they do an evaluation to determine what exactly is causing it. Only after the evaluation is done, will anyone be able to adequately tell you what kind of treatment you will need. A pain in your bum could be caused by a problem with the gluts or muscles in the vicinity, by nerves or the discs in your low back, or even the alignment of your pelvis. But go see your physio, he'll know what to do. I know this because I am a physio too. Good luck!

definitely see your physical therapist as soon as possible. Because I don't know what the problem is, I can't tell you what treatment you will get to. Just trust that the therapist knows what they're doing.
