Since to be omnipotent is to be all powerful the answer would be to restrain themselves from exerting too much or the wrong type of power.

Also they might find it difficult to excuse themselves from not fulfilling all that they would like to do or from preventing things that they did not wish to happen- as an omnipotent being they could do anything that they wished to do. As the only way to be truly omnipotent would be to have the ability to turn back (or stop) time, though, and control every single action in the universe, a truly omnipotent being need not necessarily have any difficulties.

I agree with Joeri , I also agree opposite to what Lisa said. I think mortals would have difficulty comprehending what an omnipotent being can do. They can't make a mortal understand what powers they have, being a mortal I couldn't guess what that would be..

'The Omnipotence Paradox'

Question : Can God create a rock that is so heavy even He can't lift it?

If the answer is yes, then He is not omnipotent because a rock exists that He is not capable of lifting.

If the answer is no then he is not omnipotent because he is not capable of creating a rock which is so heavy that even He can't lift.

I'm not entirely sure whether this answers your question but I kind of like it.
