Women are quite renowned to spread nasty gossip being jealous and spiteful we have been blamed quite alot but when you see/hear men do it what do you really think of them ? also men what do you think of men doing this?

Men don't gossip in the same way as we do. We can be b*tchy and catty, whereas they just discuss a situation.

Men gossip just as much as women do. Let a man suspect that a women he knows is a whore, they will spread this news all over the place; even to people that don't know the girl and it may or may not even be true. Women might be spiteful and jealous, but men are cruel and selfish. Women have been blamed quite a lot for the ills that plague our society today but truth be told, if men were doing the right thing and being upright and fair in the past, women would not be the way they are today. When I see men be jealous and spiteful like women, I don't feel any kind of way because I know its the men that originally taught women to behave this way by their own actions.

I think there is a fine line between recounting something that someone did / something that happened (sticking to the story as accurately as possible); gossip and plain old malicious slander.
I've met as many men who enjoy a good gossip and are also the chief instigators. I've also heard that 'gossipping' is a way of social interaction and bonding...
It's unavoidable that people will talk and be talked about, I'm just careful what information I repeat and to whom coz at the end of the day: 'everybody loves the gossip, but not the gossiper'!

Women have been stereotyped as being gossips.
However, men gossip as much or more than most women I know.

OHHHH MY Gosh, Men gossip for Africa. When my hubby is hang-gliding you can see the rest of the guys hanging about and hear them gossiping about how that one thinks he is a bom but not even a bullet yet etc etc, men scandal, trust me, they do more than woman.

At least most women don't go back and tell their friends about the man they had the night before, men seem to tell every escapade they ever have. Its just trashy.

Bad behaviour is just that... bad behaviour and it does not matter who does it. One shouldn't differentiate between the genders for this. It is true that women are perceived as being more prone to "bitchiness" but this if often not the case. As a man , speaking for men in general, "bitchy" men are seen as being sly, unmanly and untrustworthy. I hope this answers your question!

I think its utterly rediculous when anyone does it!!! Talk behind someones back and gossip if you want to.... but never say anything about anyone that you wouldnt say to their face, because they will hear about it....
Also, when someone is "slamming" someone else to you, doesnt it make you wonder what they say about you when you arent around?
