Because I was having lots of trouble with my Laptop I did a quick format of the hard drive, and then started to reload Windows xp, halfway through installation the laptop switched off and I haven’t been able to switch it on again, can anybody explain why.
Thanks

try charging it up for a while and try again , if you have had the laptop a while it could be a technical problem , such as the motherboard could have gone , if it doesnt work after trying to charge it up i would take it somewhere to be checked over, the prices they charge to fix it though , , could be cheaper just to buy a new laptop , cheapest one iv seen around lately is £329 from pc world its wireless n has quite a gud spec for home use.

Could be that that was the problem in the first place! If you can't get anything out of it go to a pro, not one of the bigger chain stores but a smaller local concern who actually want your business!
