The Senators are out playing them and they are playing a smarter game of hockey. Emery is also solid. Nothing seems to bother him. The Sabres can not let the game effect them mentally. No matter what calls are being made and not made. That is going to make them lose. They have been overconfident throughout the playoffs and when they recieve blows like this, it makes it hard on them mentally. They need to become confident again. No over confident, which could make them lose. But confident enough. They need to find positive aspects of the games they played against the Senators and focus on them, instead of everything that has gone wrong. If they do that, they have a chance. But if they don't. The Senators will reign supreme.

There is nothing "wrong" with the Sabres, it is more a matter of Ottawa doing things smarter at the right time. Too many fans believe the Stanley Cup is won in January and refuse to accept the fact that their team may not be as good as they think. As a life-long hockey fan since the very early 60's, I have watched great regular season teams come and go while playoff teams are always there in April and May.This time of year, home ice should not be a great thing to overcome if you are the better team so wearing your best players out the last 6 weeks of the regular season to try for home ice advantage in the playoffs is some of the lousiest coaching and worst things that can happen. As far as blaming the refs, get a life. I like the Sabres, not terribly crazy about your coach, he gets way too excited over trivial things and it reflects on the ice. Think about how tough a time your team had getting past the Islanders and Rangers. Ottawa is much better than either of those and so far Buffalo hasn't taken their game up a level. Instead of blaming the refs or asking what is wrong with the Sabres, give Ottawa some kudos for stepping up. If you are a true fan, you can give credit where it is due and so far, Ottawa deserves the credit but it ain't over until a team wins 4 games.

No problem. As a die-hard sabres fan let me assure you that we have the Senators right where we want them: standing behind us with our pants around our ankles.....
yeah...it's not good. The fact is the Senators are a better TEAM then Buffalo is. We have been horrific this whole playoffs but were able to get away with it in the first two rounds. Don't worry about the officiating. It's been fair enough. Besides, the last thing I want for the Sabres right now is for more penalties to be called against the Senators. Good Lord. Can our PP be any more pathetic? Good news is they are still playing hockey. It might be only one more game but that's all we need to still have a prayer.
Go Sabres
hold it. Look. Anyone suggesting Emery is playing better then Miller (ottawagirl) deserves to have everything they say about hockey come under close scrutiny. The Senators right now are the better Team and they are playing great defense in front of Emery. However, If the two teams switched goalies in this series we would NOT be talking about 1 goal differentials. Watch the games, watch who is making the harder saves. See who is giving up the rebounds and misplaying the puck behind the net (hint: Emery). There are some girls who know quite a bit about hockey but ottawasenatorsgirl is apparently not one of them. Think about it, if Emery is the better goalie, then in these 1 goal games you are saying that Buffalo is the better team and should be up at least 2 games to 1.

It's not that hard to figure out. Buffalo was the best team because it scored lots of goals so you didn't notice they were ranked a miserable 13th in defense. Once they came up against a team playing good team d they couldn't score like they did in the regular season and the defense was exposed for what it was.
Blaming the refs is looking for excuses. Generally the calls will come if the fouls are flagrant or if they help generate a scoring chance. The rest of the time the refs are content to let them play.

As I've said before, Buffalo's record belies the fact that they were fading over the last several weeks of the regular season. They got in to the playoffs as the #1 seed because of the huge lead they compiled early in the season. I still say that if the season had been a few weeks longer, Buffalo might have been the #2 or #4 seed.
Meanwhile, the Sens are peaking at just the right time. They look unstoppable right now.

ok who ever said emery is playing ebtter than miller obviously didnt watch the game last night. miller is amazing but ottawas defenders are shutting down buffalo. buffalo is not putting shots on the net that challenge emery they had like what 20 shots while the senators had about 35. buffalo was enver able to beat the senators in the regualr season but thats not going to stop them this year. after all the city has went through they have to make something happen use the skill and motivation they have to win a god damn gaME.
LETS GO BUFF-A-LO DOWN BUT NOT OUT

Buffalo had a great year, but you have to remember one thing. They won many games by one goal or in overtime. Sometimes the breaks change. With the exception of last night, they have played a pretty even series. Funny thing is that though they were severly outplayed last night, they still had a chance to tie at the end.

It is a confidence issue that started last series. They were cocky, breezed to a first place finish, and then whipped on the Islanders so badly in the first round that they thought they were invincible. Then they didn't take the Rangers seriously, almost botched that series, and lost their swagger. Unfortunately for the, Ottawa GAINED confidence in the first two rounds. Sometimes attitude is everything. Buffalo simply has not had the heart to win the big one, and the Senators currently do.

to begin with the sabres cant seem to find a way around sens defence and emery IS the better goalie in this series. as for the penilties you have some players that have done many things and they have been overlooked. with a 3-0 lead for sens i think you can put away your cheer card, pompoms ect. away. no way sabres will come back 4 games in a row . it was done years ago, not this time not this year.
