If I find out that someone's lied to me once I won't trust that person again. But a lot of liars are very good at it. They can be extremely convincing even if they've been caught lying before. They often know what to say to smoothe things over... and then they'll just lie again and again. Believe me, I've met some people who can look you right in the eye and lie very convincingly. They almost had me thinking that I was the one who was wrong! It's up to you/us (non-liars) to defend against these types of people. If you find out a persons a liar put some distance between you and them. It's best to cut them out of your life altogether. Liars are often psychopathic and can wreak serious havoc in a persons life.

You can rely on a liar to lie - you can't always trust an honest person to be honest, because sometimes lying is just more convenient or is done to protect you (whether you agree or not) ... therefore lying is the dominant behaviour, and it's better to trust a liar, as long as your remember to invert what they say :-)

because human nature in us is always trying to find something good, and give second , third, forth, fifth chances. If they keep up there end of the bargain then we feel it will help them on the road to honesty

Its common because when you are told the truth you wont belive and when told a lie you'll believe. The common culprits are girls they always feel and don't think

I only found out he was lying until I found out, he was cheating on me when we were dating!
I trusted him, but he kept a secret.
NOT good when communication is so vital in a relationship!
It hurts, then you break up with them, then you move on with life!!!!!!!!!!!

you already know they will lie, so you are not dissapointed when it happens, its harder to trust someone who hasnt lied, the dissapointment would be devastating
