I hope not because it will be entering its 18th season next year and I hope at least it goes to 20. I think Dick Wolf really needs to consider and bring Chris Noth back to the original and get him off that sucky Law & Order: Criminal Intent because that female detective is not working out.

Well not that I care because I am currently collecting the original on dvd so I was just wanting to know if the show now days is ok.

It's been renewed, but I doubt it last another 2 seasons after that. CI was never a fav of mine, and it would be nice to see Chris Noth come back and work with Jesse Martin, since they've both been partners to Lennie Briscoe. Actually, L&O hasn't been the same since he passed away.

According to a recent "T.V. Guide" article, some of the series may not be coming back next season. The original "Law & Order" seems to be must vonerable. "Law & Order-SVU" is the highest rated of the series, and is considered to be safe until contract time comes around.

They should be coming back for an 18th season on NBC. Check their website or wikipedia.org to be sure.
