Tweaking the software and the hardware also improves performance, sometimes a lot as when overclocking of both cpu and gpu.

Then... .Buy a faster computer? Sadly, if you do not like to tinker with BIOS settings, Windows installation procedures and Windows settings as well, the only solution is to buy better/faster hardware.
