actually yes the person i am talking about is indeed illegal i should know i dated him for almost 3 years only to find out he is illegal and a binge drinker. and tried to stab me with a knife because he thought i was cheating on him. and then proceeded to smash in my car windows because he was mad i ran away, when he tried to stab me with a military knife he stole from my step-dad.

good question, thing is i dont know to many illegals but the ones i've come across were scummy.

i dont like illegal immigrants in general. they depleat our country of money and we are expected to pick up thier slack, when it comes to taxes.

Report employers who hire illegals, report the illegals themselves, and (most importantly) tell your federal elected officials how you feel about illegal immigrants in this country. Send them e-mail, call their offices, do *something* other than sitting around complaining.

Embarrass their landlords in the classified ads.

The "illegal" in "illegal immigrants" means "criminal". Who wants criminals in their neighborhood?

yes... we all hate "illegals". We steady ourselves with the common refrain that we don't mind "legals". Yet we do not look at the environment that breads our current crisis. We look at our unprecedented economic condition and enjoy the refreshing kool-ade offered up by politicians vying for oujr vote... that we are where we are as a result of something called "American ingenuity". We silently ignore the role of an imported professional class on our society, that we are able to adopt, sans the cost of raising them. We do this, then wonder why certain governments cannot shake their corrupt officials and develop to their potential. We never question the terrible impact it has on the source country when we take another of their best and brightest, while leaving their least employable behind.
If the socioeconomic world looked different, does anyone doubt that we would find ourselves in a similar situation? Or would "American ingenuity" continue to hold sway?
Morally, I would prefer an immigration policy not slanted to the professional class. Intellectually, I don't care what happens, provided we meet that minimal criteria we seem to have so much trouble with.... being honest with ourselves about the overall impact of our policy.

As the world gets smaller, this problem just gets bigger.
May be too late to stop the flood gate, the real problem is not the US, its the world, the world is in a mess, countries fight, spent most of their countrys budget on arms and other weapons, rather than helping their people, so ..sad to say, people will jump ship to look for a better world, and most in places like Cuba or Mexico, always has this vision of a better life in the USA.

Look at Africa and the middle east, North Korea, some of these are the main reason why we see this problem, this so called United Nation is yet another money wasting exercise, billions goes into it, but what do we really see ? nothing much, Dafur is a great example, 4 years of innocent killing, yet the UN said their hands are tied or they still have no action plan.

At the end of the day, the world leaders are to blame, then they pour the other half of their money into useless operations like UN, yes, great idea, but doing what for the poor and needed ?

I do not for a minute disagree with your view about scums, this is yet another dark side of life, if I have the choice, I would report them and have them deported too.

Well, that's a good question and I don't have a good answer.

But, I find something interesting in your question. You say you're ready to report a couple of people that are pretty scummy. I'm assuming you mean some illegals? Your question leads me to believe you don't have a problem with illegals as long as they aren't acting "scummy".

I'm not trying to bust on you...I just think your contradicting yourself.

A couple of things -
1- get rid of most of the politicians currently in office - they are do nothings
2- just because someone is scummy doesn't necessarily mean they are illegal aliens

This is a question I have been asking myself..and you make very good points. They are really ruining the fabric of this nation! You can start by writing to your local rep with your stand against immigration.
