The movies are all better - except for Star Trek The Movie (number 1 of the series). It was boring!

I like both, but definately prefer the series. For me that was the start of ir all, and what got me interested in Star Trek. The movies started because the fans were so upset that the network cancelled the show.

The series had the adavntage of character development that you can put into a season whereas the movies you have two hours to tell your story and move on. Therefore, though I greatly enjoyed the movies (mostly) I would have to say that the series served the family of characters much better, even though in most of the movies the characters each had their "moment".

Stories, characters and themes of Star Trek were created to follow television's timing and techniques... Using them in a motion picture doesn't seem to produce good results.

Both are good.
The movies had better lines and effects.....but the series well, its was a weekly addiction.
I never watched Enterprise...
I love the original and the Next Generation. I think they were great..that goes for the movies as well.

Star Trek anything is good. I have read most of the books too.

if you ask me i'd say i like all of them. the only star trek adaptation that i didn't like was the cartoons. it looks really cheesy, but i love the original, tng, voyager, enterprise. i liked all the movies as well. anything trek must be good.

I don't think that you can like the movies as much if you didn't like the show (though the movies stand on their own). I would say the TV shows.
