let me elaborate:
Archimedes’ principle says that the buoyant force is equal to the weight of the fluid displaced. As the ice is floating, the amount of water displaced (the hole in the water )must be an amount equal to the mass of the ice cube.
But when the ice melts, it is just water and so it just fills the hole. Put another way – the weight of the water plus ice is equal to the weight of an amount of water that just fills the glass. Thus, when the ice melts, there is just enough water to fill the glass.

you need to clear up your equations a little bit so that I can understand what the symbols represents. However, there is an intuitive way of getting this. The ice when being put into the beaker will float in such a way that it is COMPLETELY UNDER the water level if the density of the ice and water are the same. Thus, the total volume of the ice + water at anytime will be the same and the water level also stay the same if we neglect the heat expansion/contraction. It is not a contradiction to the rising sea level. You see, the ice actually float ABOVE the sea level. Therefore ,they will raise the water level when they melt.

The water level will decrease. tats is for sure.
here is the explination.
denstity of water is more than density of ice. this is the reason y ice cube floats on water.
obviously when ice melts into water, its density is more and hence occupies less space. therefore the level of water will decrease.
if u still dont believe me. drop 3 ice cubes in a cup and fill it with water to the brim. leave it for some time for the ice to melt and then see for urself. the level of water which was up to the brim would have come down.

The buoyant force is equal to the weight of the displaced fluid. A cube of ice placed in water will descend in the water until it displaces an amount of water equal to the weight of the cube. But the cube IS water, just in a different form. So when the cube melts, it will exactly fill the space it was displacing. So the level of the water will stay exactly the same.

unchanged,because when you drop an ice cube into a glass of water then the ice cube will displace water exactly equal to the mass of ice cube.and when it melts mindful of the fact that when state changes mass of the substance doesn't change,i.e mass is constant the same mass is added as the mass of ice cube in the form of water and water level remains constant .

The level will increase.The ice cube is above the surface of the water, only taking up air space.When it melts it takes up water space.Its called displacement
