Since we are in a drought now for new and different talent, these characters might be just what everybody would enjoy watching during evening hours...on the tube.

All other sitcoms seem dull and boring.

If you agree, tell me what you like about them.

They're funny, but they're shorts. If they tried to build a whole sitcom around it, it wouldn't last a season. Hollywood has completely run out of ideas, so you may get your wish. All they do now is remakes of classics that should be left alone, sequel after sequel, they're even coming out with a "Terminator 4", without Arnold. Without Arnold, what's the point ? Every sitcom in the last ten or more years have just been the same as every other one, plots and all, just different characters. Smart wife, stupid husband, wise-*** kid(s), (funny) neighbor, and of course the kids WILL form a rock band. At least every crisis gets neatly wrapped up in 22 minutes, not like in real life - and don't EVEN get me going on "reality shows" - the only way they could be reality is if they DIDN'T KNOW they were being filmed., it's all scripted.

Awhile back I thought I heard that there were plans to make them into a sitcom...

I think it would be kind of funny for a few episodes but I don't think it would last....

The Geico caveman, a well-known advertising entity by now, may soon cross the line from being the star of a series of television commercials to being the star of his very own sitcom.

A deal has been struck with ABC to produce a pilot for the upcoming television season, starring the self-important Geico caveman, writes Adweek.

As with any pilot, the chances of the show making it to the air are few. If it does get picked up, however, there are risks. Geico, which licensed the rights to ABC, has no creative control. And, if the show flops, consumers might consider the brand a flop, as well.

The caveman character, created by The Martin Agency, has already moved beyond television ads. Geico's media agency helped organize a golf game between the caveman and NFL legend Phil Simms, and Geico also unveiled CavemansCrib.com, a website that allows consumers to see how the caveman "lives."

In my humble opinion, I don't think a sitcom with the Geico Cavemen would be successful, granted a couple of the commercials are amusing, but that's as far as I'd take it.

Well, the commercials were funny and entertaining at first, but now they are just dumb and kind of annoying. I don't know if I could watch one for 5 minutes let alone a half hour. But I would be willing to give it a chance if it was done in an interesting way.

each and every few years television tries out some reformulation of the classic *fish outta water* state of affairs. those that labored ideal have been "The Beverly Hillbillies" and "third Rock From The sunlight". in the event that they artwork it this type - the place they are unexpectedly thrust into twenty first century u . s . - it has a shot. in the event that they play it too very similar to the classified ads then it truly is in all threat going to get previous VERY quickly. i might provide it a shot, the two way. i'm partial to the classified ads, and that i loved the two certainly one of those previous take a seat-coms.

Maybe. Some of the commercials seem ok (they're better than that little gecko). But once the show gets a 30 min timeslot, it might start to suck. But i heard theyre supposed to make a show about the caveman, so ur question might be answered soon!

One good thing if the cavemen had their own show _ I wouldn't have to watch - I would know the time and channel and avoid it. These ridiculous commercials pop up all over the place all the time and I can't avoid them.

I do not. I think that joke has gone as far as it is going to go and will not make a long running sitcom.

well, i dont personally think its a very good idea..and i think it will get cancelled almost immediately. but apparently the people at ABC think its a good idea because its on their fall line up this year.
