I'm trying to find the title of a song from the 70's (or late 60's) from a male group, but the only thing that sticks in my mind is the haunting lyrics of the chorus: "I think I'm in trou-ble". I think it was in the same era of The Mommas and the Pappas, and groups of that ilk, but all male. Any ideas? It's driving me crazy!

I really should be saying goodnight
I really shouldn't stay anymore
It's been so long since I held ya
I've forgotten what love is for

I should run
On the double
I think I'm in trouble
I think I'm in trouble
I think I'm in trouble

So come to me darlin' and hold me
Let your honey keep you warm
Been so long since I held ya
I've forgotten what love is for

I should run
On the double
I think I'm in trouble
I think I'm in trouble
I think I'm in trouble
I think I'm in trouble

[Instrumental Interlude]

I should run
On the double
I think I'm in trouble
I think I'm in trouble
I think I'm in trouble

the only one i can think of is this one:

lindsey buckingham " trouble". Check it out despite the fact that the name is female. It must be this because lindsay was an ex-Fleetwood Mac member.

lyrics:
really should be saying goodnight,
I really shouldn't stay anymore.
It's been so long since I held ya,
I've forgotten what love is for.

I should run on the double
I think I'm in trouble,
I think I'm in trouble.

So come to me darlin' and hold me,
Let your honey keep you warm.
Been so long since I held ya,
I've forgotten what love is for.

I should run on the double
I think I'm in trouble,
I think I'm in trouble.

Looking out for love
In the night so still
Oh I'll build you a kingdom
In that house on the hill
Looking out for love
Big, big love

You said that you love me
And that you always will
Oh you begged me to keep you
In that house on the hill
Looking out for love
Big, big love

I wake up alone
With it all
I wake up
But only to fall

Looking out for love
Big, big love
Just looking out for love
Big, big love

We went dancin' across the USA
On that crazy king's highway
Too much passion
Too much play
We went dancin'...dancin'...dancin' across the USA

Well the curtain falls too early, so they say
Some will go
Others just stay and stay
So have a round on me my friend
Buttercup days are through
You know I always love 'em
But I think it's time that we flew

We went dancin' across the USA
On that crazy king's highway
Too much passion
Too much play
We went dancin'...dancin'...dancin' across the USA

I wonder if they'll ever understand
The trials of a freedom seeking man
So have a round on me my friend
What else can we do
You know I always love ya
But I think it's time that we flew

We went dancin' across the USA
On that crazy king's highway
Too much passion
Too much play
We went dancin'...dancin'...dancin' across the USA

Dancin'...dancin'...dancin' across the US
We went dancin...
Dancin'...dancin'...dancin' across the US
We went dancin...
Dancin'...dancin'...dancin' across the US
We went dancin...
Dancin'...dancin'...dancin' across the US
We went dancin...
Dancin'...dancin'...dancin' across the US
We went dancin...

Afraid to move
Afraid to lose
A piece of faith
A piece of heart
Surprised to find someone willing to lose
Just to keep herself from falling apart

Bang the drum
Bang it louder

She said, "One thing, baby, I think you should know,
This world treats me oh so rough
Got this deep down sorrow that won’t let go
And I just don’t think I’m tough enough."

Bang the drum
Bang it louder

Only one thing that troubles my mind
My love is gone, left me behind
All my sorrows soon forgotten

Only one thing that money can’t buy
True love that will never die
All my sorrows soon forgotten

But it’s too late my love
Too late, but never mind

Only one thing that troubles my mind
My love is gone left me behind
All my sorrows soon forgotten

i hope u got it!!!!!.......:)
