Trends in the restaurant business are hard to pin down as the industry is so diverse. In general terms however, there is a trend toward lighter and healthier eating, so the industry is starting to move in that direction.

You can see prime examples form the Tapas restaurants (all appetizer menus) that have been growing strong in many areas over the last five or so years. The big chains are in the forefront as well with Fridays just recently introducing their lighter and healthier line of dinner selections.

With all the headlines of Americans being over weight and eating poorly, you have to expect the industry to react if they want to survive, and they have been.

The trend of Restaurant Industry is going to change soon with the invention of the Restaurant Digital Menu. It is entirely new and original and implements well on Android Devices.

Around here it's organic foods and farm-raised meats. So the same things as usual, but everything has to be humanely treated type thing.
