Bastille which is now ruined as per Frnch Revolution.
Paris centre is quite small and sits on the Rhine and then sprawls into residential neighbourhoods and districts.
I don't htink there were any other ancient prisons in Paris.

The most famous was the Bastille, the fall of which marked the start of the French revolution. Bastille Day is still a national holiday in France, July 14th I believe.

La Conciergerie is one of the oldest official/royal/governmental sites in Paris, the Roman Governors lived on the site, and one of tjhe finest palaces of the medieval era was built there in the C14th, but it didn't become a prison until the C15th.
The interior is amazing its is like the crypt of a gothic cathedral only with higher ceilings. Well lit and cleaned now it was probably a horrible creepy place following the French revolution when it was used as a prison and law court of the revolutionaries.
Some very nice pictures at the web-site below.
