Just an idea I was thinking of as i was sitting around, Do you think its possible to tube the intake of an EFI system into the AC duct, and turn on the ac to ice cold to act as a blower? I know it wouldent be as effective as a turbo or supercharger, but would it help more then ram air?

Well to awnser your question the whole do it yourself home made dryer hose kit is usually a bad idea and honestly most company's now make intakes for just about every car if you want to improve the performance get a chip or a progamer and a k&n filter when you change to a cold air intake you have to maintain all your sensors and the stock sixe inlet pipe and you will loose low end torqe and horse power and idle quality as well.

a mate of mine tryed this and it had no effect, just no aircon....Reason being the aircon cant keep up with the flow of the air into the motor and with the aircon pump running off the enfine it takes the horsepower away. The reason a supercharger or turbo works is it compresses the air first, add an intercooler and it will cool the air to be compressed firther resulting in smaller air mollecules which can then fit more into the chamber thus wnating more fuel to get a bigger bang

It would be better to turn off the A/C. This will give you more power rather than putting the AC to you intake. Why not get other performance replacement parts to hav that extra pull.

sounds good but you will lose as much power running the ac as it will make from the cooler air also the cfm of air wouldn,t be enough for anything but a very small engine

Turning off the A/C would be more effective.

Cold air compresses best but the amount you would get is debatable.~~
