We live in WA state, and we have no clue what we are doing. We are small town people and understand that vegas is big. We actually are going to be closer to indian springs but i really dont want to live in such a small small town. I have been doing some reasearch about other towns close by: Pahrump..Summerlin..Spring Valley.. Also read that NW Las vegas is the best to live in. Is this true? What are teh down falls of pahrump, summerlin and spring valley. Really are they where we should we live?? Help us
I have a ton of questions: How fast can you find a place in these towns?? Does it take forever, or can you move in pretty quick if you have th money? We are definately pulling our hair out trying to get everything in line to move! How are the rentals? We are not in a position to be buying right now, but definately renting. We are looking for 3 bed, 1-2 bath in one of these towns..Help help!
Any basic over veiw of how our life is going to be would be great! thanks!
I have vaca'd there

Go to the website listed below for the las vegas chamber of commerce there is a link to request a relocation guide.

It may take a few days to get to you but it will answer most of your questions about moving to vegas.

Depending on were in washington you live give yourself extra travel time if you are driving a U-Haul. I would not drive more than 12 hours if you both take turns driving. you will need you energy to get the truck unloaded.

If possible get a Ryder the tend to be able to go a little faster than U-Haul and have more power on the hills.

Have fun moving.

Check out rent.com- you can even narrow it down to Summerli, northwest, etc. You can narrow it by price, ammenities. Plan on around $1000 being the cheapest for a 3 bedroom.
Also, these places you are naming off are still considered Las Vegas. I am also from a small town and I am used to driving from town to town. But here, it's not like that- it's all right on top of each other- unless you are familiar with the area, you want even know the difference between summerlin, etc.
Everyone is different, but from my experience of moving here from a town of 60,000 people was quite an adjustment! I hated it- getting used to traffic, the job hunting process( you have to get all kinds of work cards that take time & money)- the cost of living increase (my car insurance tripled), the different type of people that live here. The best piece of advice I got was that Vegas takes some time getting used to- that it will take at least a year for it to feel like home (some people even said 5 years). Now, I have lived here for about a year and a half and rather enjoy living here now that I am more adjusted. It just took awhile to get adjusted moneywise after a big move & the traffic really isn't all that bad. There is so much to do here when you are not used to living in a big city. Vegas really isn't that big areawise. One thing I love is that everything is right around the corner- you don't have to drive far for anything like Walgreen's, grocery shopping, etc. Plus it'a a relatively cheap plane ticket for people to come visit you. Another thing that I love is that a lot of the apartments and homes are brand new or still look brand new. I am used to living in houses 50-100 years old.
I hope this helps...just give it time to get used to.

Your subject want not be the style you get him back, however the style you get your vanity back. you assert that that is known on your arguments (which you're making it sound are uncomplicated occurrences) for the 's-bomb' to be dropped. If i'm splendid in that understanding, then i will permit you already know from my very own very own adventure that the two one among you're sinking like a deliver, and that is as much as you to journey it down and drown or get off, get on a lifestyles boat, and flow on alongside with your lifestyles. you're youthful and you have not have been given teenagers, which makes it greater stable each of ways around. Love your self sufficient to assert I DESERVE greater and that i DESERVE greater useful! as quickly as you particularly have faith that, the splendid one will come alongside.

My vote goes to Henderson. I live here. Will he work in Parhump? Bucause with gas prices, you may want to live closer to the city.
