hell no,lol. me and my partner are equal and share all home tasks. yes he does push the shopping trolley, but only cause I'm busy making sure we have got all our yummy favourites. we have 2 daughters that we have to take with us on shopping trips and 1 of our daughters has autism. our other little one is sat in the shopping trolley as she is only 17 months old. we share the work load between us. i do not control him,and he certainly does not control me. we are a partnership. we would never treat each other with such disrespect. we love each other too much. although we have witnessed many men that are under the thumb, and i must say both my partner and i feel embarrassed for the poor guy when we do see it happening, its degrading and quite frankly they should grow a back bone, either that or leave the witch that's trying to control him, lmao. take good care hunny, and watch out for that giant thumb, lmao xxx

I always say to people who have new men 'don't expect anything and you won't be disappointed' but I don't live by my advice!! I'm a terrible nag, honestly! The trouble is that we want so much and our men want so little!
We don't control them and it isn't a replacement mum thing, it's just that men can do stuff so much better than us - like mow the lawn, change a plug, drill a hole in the wall etc and we are at their mercy, waiting for the day they'll do it! We don't like them going out too much with their mates either because we don't really like to think of them enjoying themselves too much without us! (We can go out though, they love spending time on their own with their PS3's and a couple of beers!!) I love men, they're so funny!!

Don't be silly. Men push trolleys because they are in partnership with their wives and of course they like to drive! Its quite common for men to help their wives rather than sitting at home and sending them out to do what is usually quite a heavy shop. They also then have the opportunity to choose what they like rather than what the woman says he should like.
Too many people concentrate on sexist divides rather than concentrating on how to develop their abilities to live together and understand each other better.
Yes, I do open doors for women, give up my seat to older or pregnant women and do the "heavy work". Its not sexist, simply good manners and common sense.

Get a grip!
My husband wants to push the trolley so he doesn't actually have to picking anything up and check sell-by dates.
not because he has been told to push the trolley, it is usually a fight between us over who did it the last time.....lol

Men are made out to be feckless numpties at the moment while women are canny multi taskers efficiently sorting out home affairs, kids and career while cleaning up after her dopey thoughtless husband.
Look at TV adverts. Men are portrayed as tw*ts who are only interested in football, whose kids run rings around them and whose wife just patronize them.
Are we really like that?

I do most the heavy jobs round the house because I am physically stronger than my wife! But you have to give and take as she works full time as well. I do have a limit on the amount of nagging I will take and she knows it.

I don't think they are hen pecked, its just that couples do everything together these days, which is a really good thing. Why should the woman have to do everything.

It is all to do with teamwork or family bonds, life has changed it is nothing to do with control, men still have that animal instinct.
If he has to fight then he will, he chooses what he wants anyway what is wrong getting food for your family, at least you don't have to go out and hunt food so it is less dangerous.

I hope so seeing as women are superior to men in so many ways
We juggle a career and a home
We live longer
And in my case earn more as did my Mum as does my sister in law
