for me, his best movies are: liar liar, fun with dick and jane & bruce almighty. it's sad to say that i havent watched ace ventura yet.

Bruce Almighty is his best.
Although to truly appreciate his roots you have to watch Ace Ventura... classic and sooo funny!
and I love the credits in Liar Liar where Swoosie Kurtz add libs and yells at Jim Carey calling him "OVER ACTOR"

I think Bruce Almighty is sooo funny, so I'd have to say that's the best. I prefer Jim Carey in funny films rather than serious but he is a very good actor either way.

It's hard to choose. His best serious performances are in Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind and The Majestic. You forget that he is a goof off and realize he can be an Oscar winning actor. Comedy, I personaly love the Cable Guy, but Ace Ventura takes the cake when it comes to wackyness.

you have to watch ace ventura - it's well funny, but only if you like true Jim Carey comedy - it's just him being an idiot!! In my opinion, Ace Ventura Pet Detective, the best Jim Carey film!!

I have 2 favourites of his the first is The Mask,closelt followed by Bruce Almighty,as I loved the dog in that movie.
