Should I take him seriously?? I said joking about it isn't funny; however, he said he wasn't joking and that he wasn't going to be alone. He continued with saying that he'll be the next Virginia Tech shooter. These threats scared me and I wondered if I should report him because it's either him or our lives. What do I do and who should I go to for help!!?!?

You should have reported it immediately. Call the police and report it NOW. What if he shoots up your school tomorrow? The survivors of Columbine and other schools have said "I thought he was joking".
I am surprised your parents and school authorities have not made you aware that it is your responsibility to report this. This would be worth waking your parents up for.

If he said it, it's technically a threat. GO tell the principal straight away and let him/her know. If the principal doesn't act on it in a day, tell the police. Do you really want to be known as the one who could have avoided a tragedy, but did nothing?

I wouldn't go to school until he is arrested and his home is searched. Make sure to report this to the school, police, parents and anyone else who will listen. Immediately!

Serious or not... you take the threat serious. When they go beyond a single "joking" remark and press the issue that they are serious... you take them serious. If anything he will learn some responsibility for his actions and language.

Look at it this way, if he was dumb enough to make that threat than you cannot feel sorry for turning him in. If he gets in trouble then so what, he deserved it. And no one is going to find out you turned him in anyways.

First, beat him, his parents, and his siblings to death. Second, say it was self defense because he was planning on killing everyone. Third, go to jail, but be hailed a hero by those who are SICK OF THIS SCHOOL BULLSHITT!!!!!!!
