If so, I'd like to know you, because I am the smartest person I know and I'm getting tired of it.

I'm the SECOND smartest person I know, but the smartest is pretty brilliant. You think you could take his title away from him?

No
I believe that I am But I know I might be not. I know about 3 people who are most probably smarter than me(who can measure smartness) and I'm sure that there have been and are a lot of others I have not met yet.
It is a good thing to believe.
But do not really think that you are so.
There are a lot of smart people in the world and the chances of you being the very best is very low.
I understand your thoughts now but what you know is that you are way better than people you KNOW NOW(at this time)
Keep improving your self or else when you face a sudden change for example joining a better school/university facing harder exams you will find out you are behind others.
Furthermore just being smart is not your doing. Its just a genetic lottery you have won. If you do not improve on this you might lose the edge(If you do not do a lot of puzzles or hard mathematics as a hobby)
(p.s. If you do not do a lot of puzzles or hard mathematics easily
You are not so smart)
And finally If you are really tired of being the smartest person you know reach a smarter circle of people. Use your smartness to get to a better position where you will face some other smart people.
I emphasize that you find some people where you are some one above the average but you have to do some more work to be the smartest otherwise you might end up in a bad situation where you have been passed by the others.Never ever underestimate others.

No i'm not the smartest. In fact, I'm far from one. I've made innumerable mistakes in my life that hunts me until now. Looking back, I'm not proud of the decisions I've made and I know my life would have been so much better if i was smart.

Nevertheless, I'm learning to be one. I believe, there's no such thing as too late and there's always room for improvement. I can only attain the highest form of being smart at the point before I finaly go. Hope floats...

The reason that you are tired is because you stopped growing. You stopped getting smarter, you remained as smart as you imagined yourself to be some time ago. Now there are many more smarter than you, you remained behind because you did not want to get ahead you thought you are the smartest person alive. That is what happens to people when they look backward.

Now just how smart would I be to say another is smarter than me?
I live my life my way. I may not know how to do a heart transplant, I may not speak French, I may not know what the clunking in my engine is, but I would never admit that I'm not the smartest person I know. Anything else is self-defeating.

you have reached true understanding when you understand that we understand nothing..... there is so much in this universe that needs explanation.... and there is book smarts and wisdom and life experience...... i would rather be lost in the wilderness with a survivalist who can't spell over a brain surgeon... and if think you are the smartest person... then you haven't met many people, or you are arrogant , or crazy.... no matter what you do in life there is always someone out there who is better or smarter

There is book knowledge which is important but then there is wisdom and without wisdom, you really don't function like you should. I have seen alot of people with book knowledge think they know it all when in reality, they don't have a clue.

So I feel I am wise in many ways now that I am older and have gone through some difficult times but there is always room for improvement and right now, my 17 year old niece makes me feel pretty dumb when it comes to the book knowledge ~ lol Hopefully, someday she will also be wise :)
