Thanks very much to all of .will say more later.
The reason I asked is that I'm in UK and the Head Half-wit here sent text messages to all the illegals swanning round UK and said "Play the White man, lads."
"I need to know where you are in order to send taxpayers money"
I asked "If he can send 'em texts, why the F**k can't he trace 'em by their Mobiles.
One guy said :
"Not on Boost Mobile"
Can someone enlighten me further,please

While Boost Mobile has monthly cell phone plan; it started out as a pay-as-you-go (prepaid) cell phone, and that is still very much a part of their services.

Their prepaid costs are 20 cents per minute peak times, 10cents off-peak; 35cents a day internet; 10 cents per minute to other boost users, not sure on text and intercom ...

Boost Mobile is an Irvine, CA brand of mobile phone launched in Australia (Over Optus) in 2000 and in New Zealand (Over Telecom New Zealand) in 2001. The Boost brand is primarily marketed to the teenager and young adult demographic. Nextel Communications (now Sprint Nextel) brought the brand to the United States in 2002 and owns 100% of the American division of Boost Mobile. Prior to launching Boost Mobile, Nextel primarily focused on the business market. Following the closure of the Sprint Corporation and Nextel Communications merger in August, 2005 Boost Mobile announced that they currently have 2.8 million customers in 2007, a reduction from the 3.1 million claimed subscriber base in 2006.

Boost Mobile's latest American advertising campaign features Fat Joe, Eve, Travis Barker, Kanye West, Ludacris, Richard "Rip" Hamilton, Nick Cannon, Master Shake, and The Game and uses the slogan "Where you at?"

Assuming you're in Australia, Boost is just an arm of the Optus range, designed to attract the younger market.
