I am thinking about moving there one day, once I graduate from college. Is there a huge difference between Canada and the US such as political beliefs. I consider myself a democrat and I am a liberal thinker. (not bashing Republicans)

Canada is a great place to live and I believe there is a huge difference between Canada and the US, especially in politics. The Conservative party of Canada would probably be more Liberal than the Democrats. There are also huge job opportunities here in Canada. And the differences between Canadians and Americans (some not all) are very different but it also depends on where you are in Canada. For example, Toronto is basically an American city but more liberal so you may prefer it, but just to let you know, most people in Canada hate Toronto. (Don’t pretend like you didn’t know Toronto!) I think the biggest thing you need to consider is what you are looking for in Canada. If you are looking for a city full of culture and fun you should try Montreal or Edmonton. But if you are looking for a more business type of city then try Toronto or Calgary, or if you are looking for a little bit of everything try Vancouver. It really depends on what you want.

Even Americans like Canada...but let's not hold that against Canada.

Seriously, there's only one possible complaint about Canada--I mean aside from the cold winters (which many people use as an opportunity to participate in winter sports)(summers are hot). The taxes are high. But, on the plus side, you get what you pay for: clean environment, low crime rate, "free" health care, happy, friendly people.

Canada is everything America says and pretends it is. Today, as a Canadian, I really can't tell much of a difference. But an American probably would. It will take some getting used to but I can assure you, you will love being a Canadian. I welcome you to my country.
