Sounds about typical for Oscars to me. As I'm sure you are aware they are known for their personalities. This is not only the cute and funny stuff, but also the stuff that will drive you out of your mind with worry about them lol. Give them another week or so and it will probably be acting "normal" and another one will be doing something weird. Part of the fun of owning Oscars.

it is extremely trouble-free, 2's business enterprise, 3's a crowd. If the Oscars are 17 months previous then they'd desire to be sexually mature. If 2 of them come to a call to pair off and breed, the 0.33 one ought to o.k. have a real not elementary time because of the fact there is an extremely stable danger it should not be tolerated everywhere close to the eggs, or perhaps interior the tank. 3 Oscars will mean an rather super tank besides. The filtration mandatory for 3 super grownup Oscars is amazingly significant too. Oscars are messy creatures and you are able to desire to have the filtration to maintain up with them. attempting to maintain Oscars in a small ecosystem would have a extreme unfavourable effect on the water high quality, it is going to additionally enhance the possibilities of struggling with and unpleasantness. it seems which you're already having issues, take action now directly to locate a house for the 0.33 one.

I wouldn't be horribly concerned at this point. What you need to worry about is if they start picking on each other. Despite what a previous post stated the simple fact that they are the same size, age and grow up together doesn't guarantee a happy family. It just gives you a better shot.
Give it a few more weeks - they may be feeling intimidated especially if he is the smallest. It takes fish a few weeks at times to really get used to their new tank and surroundings - I imagine he went from a 20 or so gallon to a 125 it's a big change!

For now just keep a close eye on things. If they are leaving the odd one alone and this behaviour is its own devising, he will probably still come around. If he is getting harassed by the others you may want to add a divider before stress kills him.
Three Oscars simply won't work out in the long term. Oscars are territorial and don't share their tanks lighty with other territorial fish, including other Oscars - the older they get, the worse the aggression will be. If you are lucky you will get a pair out of your trio - this will happen as they mature and if it does they will both declare the tank as their territory and the third, now and intruder, will be at risk and need to be removed.
If they are still babies then it's too early to jump to this conclusion in your situation right now, but always keep an eye out for this pairing behaviour.

i love Oscar's i have a Oscar that is about 3 years old and is huge will go through about 20 feeder fish a week, though i have never had more then one Oscar I do work with pets all day long so i have learned a couple things about fish not allot, but as long as Oscars grow up together they are fine the other two may group together and the other may just be a loner, Oscars wont attack some thing the the same size as they are so as long as all your Oscar's are about the same age they wont attack each other to severely you may see a brawl every once in a great while but they will never last long, as long as your Oscars are well feed you should never run into a fight at all......
but the main point is as long as they are the same size the same age and you have plenty of room in your tank for Territorial boundary's to be placed you should be alright
