I was a cashier at a gas station for over 10 years and if someone had ever said that to me. I would have said---oh my god, thanks for telling me. I then would have turned around and swatted my co-worker for not telling me. I would have much rather been told so I could fix it than go through the whole day and have people start to refer to me as the lady with the bad breath. You did a good thing. and you never know the guy might even say thanks the next time he see's you. He might also run in the other direction, but hey, his breath probably smells good while he's on the run.

No, thank god for people like you.
This world needs more people with your honesty.
If you would have offered him a mint his breath would have been fine tonight but stunk tomorrow.
If you are brutally honest about it, he will likely be self conscious about his breath in the future and take the appropriate steps to fix the problem.

Oh wow ummm that was a little harsh lol that sucks that he heard you. Maybe you should have brought a pack of gum slid it to him and winked and said "these are for you." That might not have been so bad. Did you say it in a mean way or to purposefully hurt his feelings?

I agree with Yvonne. You tell someone they have a problem only if they are in a position to fix it. You could have said, "I have some breath mints in my purse, and you really need one
right now" very quietly.
Curlers left in hair can be removed, unbuttoned pants can be buttoned, but, you were just not thinking, and were rude.

As always , you did the right thing .Who knows if the next customer was going to be the woman of his dreams. You exposed this foul-mouthed salad tosser and caused him a few minutes of deserved embarassment . However , it is a small price for him to pay for a lifetime of loving from that perfect woman . I bet they name their first kid Cookie .

No it's not wrong but it could be considered rude depending on the way you said it to him and depending on if you did it to be a jerk.
