ISO stands for International Standards Organisation. So if you see ISO 8000:2001, then you can know that the company complies with the International Standard 8000 which was compiled/accepted by the ISO in 2001.

If you want to know what ISO 8000:2001 says (Or any other international standard), go to the ISO website.
