My son just got back from Kuwait, where we stockpile many of our bombed personel carriers (HMV's). He says we STILL HAVEN'T armored the vehicles even though Bush,Cheney and their gang of thieves all swear to the contrary.

Operation Iraqi Freedom was originally slated to be called: Operation Iraqi Liberation, but once they realized the anagram for that was OIL, they changed it.

We are not there for WMDs, or to "bring democracy" or to "free the Iraqis" or even to stop terrorism. We must stay the course for the oil. http://news.independent.co.uk/world/middle_east/article2132574.ece

Poke around here: http://www.newamericancentury.org/ Members of PNAC include: Cheny, Libby, Rummy and Wolfwitz. If you read some of their publications, it'll scare you.

It's all about $$$$ and oil.

Nobody seems to even remember Vietnam! Everyone blames the Dems, but the Dems are the most recently elected officials - they are the speakers for the people, it is Bush who is being the stubborn mule and holding back funding! Note: Bush's approval rating doesn't even support him at 28%.

First your son lied to you. As Vast said there is not even an un-armored vehicle allowed on the road in Iraq, second the money does flow to the troops, it is Bush who vetoed the Democrats bill to cut funding and pull out third, I would consider it an unlawful order to go outside the fence without an armored vehicle. The vehicles in Kuwait are waiting for repair and up Armor. There is money to do it but it does take a bit of time. Get your facts right and quit bitching

Then he must have never been north of Kuwait. All I see here in Baghdad are uparmored vehicles. Even the vehicles that never leave the forward operating base are all armored.

While it's true that not many vehicles were armored when the war began, that has changed entirely. I gotta tell ya, an uparmored LMTV is a site to behold.

People aren't getting blown up in Kuwait. That's why they don't have much need for armored vehicles. They do have them for the convoy training, in which your son evidently did not participate, to provide realism.

Oh yeah, it is bush that is playing politics. It isn't the congress which is trying to precedent 200 years of presidential power. The vehicles that are in Kuwait are waiting to be armored. troops are not allowed to go out on patrols in unarmored Humvee in Iraq.

I believe bush would rather pull out immediatly than accept funding with an end date. The enemy would just wait us out and we would be doing no good. If we stay, we cannot announce a time table. If we are going to have a time table it should be immediate withdrawl now. If we should pull out before the job is done, We should just get out now. If congress had any sense it would stop with the timetable / funding bills. jason

Everytime I think of Bush, for some reason I get two songs that go through my head. One being, Pink Floyd's "Money", the other being that circus music....go figure!

No use in flushing MORE money down the toilet. Why would you fund the Iraq war any more? It's over, we lost...
