No, do not get them! They will damage your nails with only one application as the technique is to use a dentists drill with a sanding tip on it to sand off the natural shiny top layer of your nail bed.
This takes months, up to a year, to grow out and make stronger again.
Why don't you just have your lovely natural nails painted in a french manicure? Just have the manicurist paint the white tip a very slender line so it does not look odd.
Your natural nails painted this way are far more beautiful than any acrylic can ever be.
I know, I have had acrylics for 15 years now and wish I had never started. Mine are now paper thin underneath and the expense of keeping them up is horrendous!
Keep it natural and beautiful!!

Go for a natural "French Manicure" = the color is light pinkish/ neutral & white tips painted on with a glossy shine
This will leave your natural nails alone from extensive damage of the acrylics. You will only damage your nails by getting a quick fix for the wedding then shortly after ripping them off pulling more natural nail off with it.
Congrats & Best Wishes!

No, just get a manicure with your own! I have worn the nails before too but, I am with you..."I am not crazy about them." Plus, as I have aged, I have noticed some of my nails are actually warped in areas! My belief is that it came from them "roughing up" my natural nails so the fake ones would stay on better.
Stick to your own beliefs and let the others do as they will! You will be just as beautiful without fake nails!

If you like your nails, don't get acrylics. They buff your natural nail down before applying the acrylic and it ruins your natural nails.
Plus, there is also the risk of picking up a nasty fungus.
If you have nice, healthy nails don't jeopardize them by getting acrylics. :)

sure I agree gel and acrylics are undesirable in an prolonged time era. Even you had it as quickly as and your nails are ruined directly away. I practice only a classic polished and to do away with ridges practice nail strengthening a week. I had ridges on my toe nails previously and that i saved on submitting myself then I studied splendor and now all of them fastened reliable and comfortable.

I put on the nails myself and they are a pain. It is hard to use your hands. They are safe, but not the best for your nails. They might ruin your nails. Hope that helps. Good luck!

Acrylics do look pretty but they can look trashy if they are overly long or designed with tons of diamante. They are nice but expensive and when they come off your nails underneath are totally trashed! So you need to keep doing it over and over. I mean, I think they are pretty, but it's easier to just paint your regular nails.

look its your choice on if you get them or not but dont listen to these broads on here....first off your natural nail has to be filed in order for the acrylic to adhere to the nail....second the ONLY way you get a fungus is if your nail tech isnt cleaning her instruments properly....the length doesnt make you look trashy and whoever thinks that long nails make you look that way is a fool point blank....so if you want to match the other ladies in the birdal party get them but you can have them short to match your natural nail....dont let anyone scare you off from getting something....its your money if you want them get them

i used to get my nails done every two weeks. if you plan on keep on getting them done go ahead, but if not you nails will become extreamly brittle and unhealthy and it looks funny when on of them fall off. and it hurts trying to pull the rest of the nails off or you have to pay to get them removed. id say just get your nails done the same way they are but with out acrylic
