s^2 - 16s -63 = 0
For these, I like to do a complete the square solution. Then s^2 -16 x + 64 -127 =0
(s-8)^2 = 127 and s = 8+/- sqrt(127).

s^2-16s=63

s^2-16s+__=63+__

s^2-16s+64=63+64 or 127

(s-8)^2=127

s-8= +or - square root of 127 or about +or - 11.27

add 8 to both sides and the value of s will be -19.27 or 3.27

im an indian too

s^2-16s-63=0
s=(16±√(16^2+4*63))/2
s=(16±√(256+252))/2
s=(16±√508)/2
s=8±√127
s=19.27
s=-3.27
