What will it evolve into?

Question

I have Pokemon Diamond,
and I was wondering what will my Turtwig, Piplup, and Chimchar evolve into if I keep them at their current evolution stage way past the evolution level for their 3rd stage?
Will they evolve in to second stage or bypass and evolve into third?

they can never bypass an evolution like that, first forms will always go to second forms before getting to third forms

however, there might be times when you want to keep lower evo. forms

an example is chimchar. perhaps you want to keep it as a chimchar so that it can learn flamethrower at level 41. if you evolve it, monferno and infernape cannot learn flamethrower, and will instead learn a fire move that does damage to user as well

they will evolve into the second stage and then on the next level they will evolve into the 3rd stage. It is like with the way humans evolved...we didnt jump straight from being monkeys to humans, we had to go through all the stages in between such as the neanderthol and all them other ones
