If he wants respect he should understand that respect comes with action and not just words. If he needs the words he has a problem within himself. He is not your master he is your mate or boyfriend period.

Nope.. and I wouldn't say that either... a husband or boyfriend should be an equal. I would address someone like that if they were my elder.

I'm from the south. I answer, "Yes, sir" and "Yes, ma'am." as a matter of habit.

But not with my partner. I say, "Ok, babe." or "No, hon."

I don't have a husband or boyfriend anymore, but think the woman should always address the man with respect as the head of the household.
