I have noticed that on some pants that I have there is a small pocket sewn on the inside of the right front pocket. It about the size of half a credit card.

it's a watch pocket, a leftover from the days when men used to carry pocket watches.

ALL of these answers are wrong the inner pocket in designer jeans is the pocket for an extra design in the jean of the pant!

in years gone by it was called a fob pocket, to keep your fob pocket watch in. but now we just keep our small change in it.

They were originally meant for spare coins. Now, people use them for change, lip stick, gum... just very small things.

I use it for if someone gives me a piece of candy or gum also sometimes to carry a spare key.
