I wish I could find a list of the home states of the American individuals working for them in Iraq. It looks like these three states are doing well with so many of their citizens working in Iraq. But there are a lot of people from other countries working there too.

I've included a link to contractors killed in Iraq. I don't think the list is complete though. http://icasualties.org/oif/Civ.aspx

The money is good, but the danger is not worth it.

I think the USA government has contracted a lot of these jobs, because there are not enough people in Iraq who can do some of this labor.

USA government has also contracted a team of former CIA
agents to go in at night to move equipment, trucks and etc. These people are highly trained and I don't believe they have lost one person to Al-Quada

People from the South are generally more patriotic than most Americans. Southerners have a disproportionate number of people in the military too. It has been this way since 1865.
