I don't believe it is legal in Australia (they are native to Australia and Indonesia) to catch or keep a sugar glider as a pet. They are legal in places like the US and Canada, but they were illegally imported years ago and are now all captive bred.

I've seen sugar gliders for sale as pets in the UK. I wouldn't take one from the rainforest though - wild animals are best left where they are.

Possible yes, legal NO! There are hefty fines for taking animals from the wild in Australia. But...Gliders often come into the care of rescuers, and where permitted by the state they can remain in captivity. You would have to have proper permits to do so though. Otherwise, captive bred animals are readily available. www.marsupialsociety.org

Not advisable.
it may bring diease into your home as it is a wild animal. Being wild I'm rather sure it will not like being a "pet"

um, yes, but its a very bad idea. it could have diseases. it could be illegal. you should find one at a pet store or from a breeder.
