..back to sleep? I have always had trouble waking up in the morning. I need at least 2 alarm clocks to wake me up, in addition to the multiple ones I can set on my phone. I slept in on an exam day once and almost missed the test.. had fun explaining that one.

you know, i think we are a minority, but we certainly exist. i always think i live in the wrong time zone...i like to stay up late, sleep late, eat dinner around 8 or so. it's not even so much that i like to, it's just when i feel my best.
my oldest son just lost a job he had worked at for 10 years due to tardies. he couldn't make it to school on time either. i have 3 other kids and 1 used to live on 3 hours of sleep all through her school years and was perky, not sleepy at school either.
i think some of us are just wired differently, that's why there are night shifts i guess. i am hoping in the future with all of this technology, there will be no specific hours that you have to be at work as long as you do the work. if you think about it, there are probably people that would buy a car, shop for furniture, rent/but a home all in the middle of the night. people like us need to move to Vegas! lol
there are now alarm clocks that shake the bed and you have to get up in order for it to stop.
good luck

I have 2 Alarm clocks and one of them has an extra loud alarm sound. Sometimes I set the 3rd alarm clock on. I used to have problems waking up but all of that has changed since I've boughten this new alarm clock.

So I used to be late often to school (not by a lot just about 5-7 minutes after the bell ringed) but now things have changed......Ive been on time every single day this year...well except one day but thats it..

No, it's not! I'm late to work everyday lol. I've been at where i work for 8 months now and even I'M surprised they haven't fired me. I'm not super late all the time, usually between 10-20 ,minutes, but i have my times where im an hour late some days when i just CANT get out of bed. i keep my alarm on the dresser that's not close to my bed, just so i HAVE to get up to turn it off, but still usually go lay back down. i always think to myself i just want to lay down for a few more minutes and not go back to sleep, but then end up waking back up half an hour or so later.

Holy Cow - I know the words to that song.
I joke that I'm a morning bird but that my body clock is on Honoloulou time. (7 hours difference)

Sigh - there have been plenty of times where I have said to myself "I could be really successful, if I could just carry off a job where I could drag my A** out of bed in the morning"

But I haven't been able to since puberty - and its been 20 years. I can only do the morning routine for about 2 months and then I fall apart.

Sigh.

Good Luck

I am 22 and REQUIRE an average of 9 hours of sleep to feel functional. Do you have trouble going to bed at night? I don't but sometimes I feel like if I stay up late I need an extra hour or 2 to make up for it. If you need more sleep than most people, go to bed earlier. Even if you are just staring at the ceiling in the dark, you will get used to that schedule.

Lately, it has been very hard. And I used to be great in the morning. I have to be in Yosemite at 7:30 AM this Thursday for my first day back to work since last Sept. I haven't got out of bed before 10-11 in a long time.

Get out of here my people think I am weird because I use an alarm clock and two cellphones(alarm) to get me up in the mornings. I do this because I tend to oversleep a lot and I can't be late for classes or getting my son up for school.

Huh, I've never had that problem. IM usually up pretty early in the morning, 9 times out of 10 I don't even set an alarm because I know IM up early.

yes! i have two alarms too! i go to bed early and say "ok your getting up in the morning and you arent gonna be late" ...but then i wake up and just lay in bed for like a half an hour watching the time fly by and not doing anything..i wait for someone to come in and wake me up..then i have an incentive..lol
